Before you choose a planner
Your first questions, answered.
How do I find a wedding planner in Lanzarote?
Start with your approximate date, guest numbers and the help you want. Ask prospective planners about relevant experience, recent examples, how they communicate and what their fee includes. Sue can help you begin that conversation; this website is an independent enquiry service, not a list of approved or rated planners.
Can I plan a destination wedding from abroad?
Ask a planner how they handle remote meetings, venue discussions, decisions and supplier updates. Let them know when you can visit Lanzarote, the language you prefer and who will make decisions. Agree responsibilities and arrangements in writing before booking.
How much does a Lanzarote wedding planner cost?
Request a tailored proposal based on your guest numbers, date, location and level of support. Ask whether venue visits, supplier coordination, travel, taxes and wedding-day attendance are included. Planner fees and supplier charges should be clear before you agree.
Can I ask about a small wedding or vow renewal?
Yes. Describe the celebration you have in mind, whether that is a small gathering, an elopement-style celebration or a vow renewal. Sue will look for a planner who may be able to help. Services and availability are subject to confirmation.
Is a celebrant-led blessing a legal wedding?
No. A blessing or symbolic ceremony led by a celebrant is your personal celebration; it does not create a legal marriage. Arrange the legal ceremony separately. One option is a legal ceremony at home followed by your celebration in Lanzarote. Read the UK guidance on legal and commitment ceremonies.
It is not a universal rule that everyone must legally marry in their home country. Spain’s official marriage guidance explains legal marriage procedures, including for foreign nationals. Confirm the route that applies to you with the relevant registry office or authorities.
Can a planner help us find a celebrant in Lanzarote?
Include this in your enquiry. Ask about a celebrant for your blessing, symbolic ceremony or vow renewal, your preferred language, and how you would like the ceremony to feel. The planner will need to confirm availability and what is included.
Can I book a wedding through this website?
No. You can send an enquiry to Sue, who will reply and help you look for a suitable planner. The planner and any suppliers must confirm services, dates, prices and terms directly with you.
